Dublin city has become one of the most popular destinations for hen and stag parties in Europe. This vibrant fun-loving city is the perfect place to enjoy the craic, whether you're here for a boozy weekend with the boys or a spa pampering weekend of fun and cocktails with the girls.
Not all Dublin hotels allow hen and stag parties, so here's a guide to the ones that do and where you'll find them.
· Dublin hotels near O'Connell Street
If you're looking for a central base with easy access to all the action, then choose a Dublin hotel around the O'Connell Street area. This is Dublin's main street and from here you're within walking distance of Temple Bar (the headquarters of nightlife in Dublin) and lots of other major nightclubs, bars and restaurants.
Hotels which welcome hen and stage parties in the O'Connell Street area include The Gate Hotel, The Comfort Inn and Jury's Hotel which are all located around Parnell Square at the top of O'Connell Street. Other include near O'Connell Street include the Abbey Hotel located on Middle Abbey Street (just off O'Connell Street) and The Aston Hotel on Aston Quay (just around the corner from O'Connell Street).
· Dublin hotels near Temple Bar
This is without doubt one of the best places to stay if you're in Dublin for a stag or hen, especially if you want to be literally on the doorstep of some of Dublin's best bars, nightclubs and restaurants. If this sounds like the kind of place you would like to stay then check into The Harding Hotel.
There's no better way to shake off that hangover than by doing a bit of shopping or sightseeing and Temple Bar is very central for this, being just a short walk from attractions like Dublin Castle, City Hall, Christchurch Cathedral and Trinity College. Grafton Street is Dublin's pedestrianised shopping street and it's also within walking distance.
· Other Dublin hotels that welcome hen/stags north of the city centre
Dublin hotels on the northside like the Sunnybank Hotel, Maples Hotel, The Travelodge Castleknock, Walton's Hotel, The Carnegie Court Hotel and The Comfort Inn Smithfield all welcome hen/stag parties.
· Other Dublin hotels that welcome hen/stags south of the city centre
If you want your hen/stag party to stay south of the city centre, then choose Dublin hotels like the Abberley Court Hotel and the Glashaus Hotel in Tallaght.
The Harcourt Hotel, The Camden de Luxe Hotel and The Portobello Hotel are located just a stone's throw from St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street and the nightclubs of Harcourt Street.
